Mint Headbands and Girl Scout Cookies

I received a lovely package in the mail last week from Lillypie accessories.  I had purchased an adorable winter package back in the fall, which involved a surprise arriving in my mailbox each month for 4 months.

This month, I opened the bag to find an adorable mint green headband that will be worn by both of the ladies in the home (even while brushing teeth sometimes).

(boo...sorry my pics aren't great-my camera BROKE and
is in Texas being repaired.  So, I'm stuck with a lot of Instagram pics).

Later in the day, my neighborhood girl scout FI-NALLY delivered our cookies, including a box of Thin Mints, which were demolished by the three of us within 2 days.
(the boxes are getting smaller each year, right?)

I've been loving mint lately and completely ready for spring colors, so I made a mint Themed etsy treasury to share my joy in the color.

Find the online treasury HERE to click on items you might also love.

New in Shop!

We have really been trying to get some new men's items in the shop lately, and I am overly excited about the new guitar pick/golf marker cases that came in last week.

Do I play guitar? No.
Do I golf? No.

But I still think they are adorable.  When Mark saw them he said,
"hmm...kind of makes me want to play the guitar."
"Yes, I know. Me too."
Oh the power of a leather snapcase keyring.
Who knew?

We also started selling copper guitar picks (obviously).  These are great less expensive version of our sterling silver picks and will eventually have a nice even tarnish like an old penny.

Copper and I have had a long standing love-hate relationship since the color is always changing on me, but recently I'm starting to really L-O-V-E it.

The new case is also GREAT for golf markers!
You can find the carrying case by itself HERE.

Friday Photos

Isaac and the girls were supposed to "help" their great grandma make cookies on Friday.  Instead, Delaney spent most of the time on a stool eating raw cookie dough (with her apron on, of course) and Harper decided to take a trip to the bathroom to put some make-up on.
Delaney also took some time earlier in the day to suck on some marshmallows and then put them back on the table...and back in the bag.
I surprised Mark with a trip downtown for dinner and a hockey game.  I had to plan a good Valentine's Day date since he did such a good job at Christmas.

My current fashion bag is bad for the environment...

This is my current diaper bag.

Try not to be jealous.  Maybe if you work hard you can save up to get one too.

Yeah, I'm embarrassed.

The bag I was using had a fruit cup explode in it  last week and I haven't cleaned it yet.
But while the mandarin oranges stink up my laundry room, I have had time to think and decide I wanted a new bag anyway.

The bag I was using was just an old purse that has NO organizers.  It was one of those deep dark into the abyss bags that you dig through for hours before you find what you need.

I spent an hour this morning searching for my new bag.
I need to use it for a camera bag/purse/diaper bag.

I didn't find anything I was in LOVE with, but I was in LIKE with these-

1. Jo Totes bag (I love the longer strap on this design)

2. Darby Mack bag on etsy (I love the orange color, which would work for summer and winter)

3. Darby Mack bag on etsy

4. And my favorite... Jeanne Oliver Designs bag on etsy

The only problem with the bags are that I am frugal or um...cheap.  My normal purses are whatever is out of season on clearance at Target.  I know some people consider that a positive trait and it CAN be, but I'm still dwelling over the fact that I splurged on the $5 breadsticks included frozen pizza last week instead of the normal $2 frozen pizza.

I know that all of the bags are WORTH the pricetag.  They are SUPER nice, well made quality bags that would probably last me forever, but instead I choose to buy cheap things that last one season and break.

I splurge on somethings- my face makeup from Merle Norman, my sunglasses that I broke last week after 7 years of wearing were Maui Jim's...but that is pretty much it.

I'll keep you posted whether I splurge and feel guilty about it for a year, or if I find a clearance bag somewhere- but I'm thinking I might need to splurge :)

Embrace the Camera Thursday!

So, my sis and I have really been trying to work evenings instead of during the day on the jewelry.  We HATE to give up a few evenings a week, but we have learned that working with 2 little girls under the age of 2 is...
IMPOSSIBLE.

Although it makes our turnaround time a little slower, I think it is worth it to spend our days playing and cuddling with the girls and working in the evening while they sleep.
Del and I have been pretty laid back lately, and this was one of our afternoons, which involved watching Kung Fu Panda- again.

Are you embracing the camera?  I hope you are trying!!
